went away to vegas for the weekend for a much needed mini vacay. came home with a rejection letter from my first choice grad school =(

welp, the second option still looks like an option though. still, i think i need another break from internet for a while. the lack of internet access for three days on vacay was helpful.

I’m sorry I’ve been mia again. I’m trying really hard to catch up with all my work I’m behind on as well as finishing applications to grad school, which I’m trying to get mailed off by this weekend. Grad school woes round two. >.<

I still need to write out my new years resolutions. Ironically, one of them for 2012 had been to get accepted to grad school, annnnnd we know how that turned out.

So while 2012 had been a better year than 2011, as it was my year (YEAR OF THE DRAGON) it wasn’t the absolute best SO.

Let’s hope 2013 brings something really good.

Maybe it’s cause I haven’t had lunch yet and I’m hungry, maybe it’s after finding out speeding ticket plus traffic school equals 140, maybe I’m just a little stressed out with work lately, maybe it’s cause I have two auditions to go to this weekend and I know I’m not getting past the first round but I felt like going anyway, which means more stress, maybe there’s a lot coming up, maybe it’s cause I haven’t heard from grad school yet and I don’t know if I’m ever going to leave this place, I don’t know, no patience. None.

There is that one scholarship I have been really hoping for/needing/wanting to get.

Nope. Denied.

That moment when your former classmates are continuously producing killer artwork and getting on their grind, and you’re here hoping to get in to grad school.

Like, to make up for the stress from the last two months.

My usual hip hop dance classes have taken a break since Thanksgiving because of the holidays, and we’ve been hoping to start again around February BUT.

My friend/one of the dancers in crime told me we got hired to shoot a music video. So we’re gonna be rehearsing dance routines for a local music video instead of paying for classes.

It’s small, I’ve done quite a few other dance projects before, and this isn’t much different, it has no budget, but….

My scholarship apps are done. And guess what, my grad app is still waiting for two rec letters, lol.

But, this is such a nice way to spend time until I hear the verdict in a few months time. Fingers crossed!

Staying up late to finish this app. I want to sleep.

Also, that professor who I ended up replacing with my boss for this freaking rec letter? Emailed me and asked for the code to submit his letter ‘cause the old one wasn’t working. Apologized for causing me anxiety.

I just want this to be done like yesterday.

So my professor who’s supposed to have finished a rec letter since Christmas? Hasn’t responded to my recent emails this past week or so. I ended up asking my boss to write one in his stead lol. Maybe working at Radio Disney will give me an edge in the scholarship selection process.
